The New York Sentinels are one of the four teams in the inaugural season of the United Football League.
Ted Cottrell has been named as the franchise’s first head coach.
The team plans to rotate its home games between Giants Stadium in East Rutherford NJ, Rentschler Field in Hartford and James M. Shuart Stadium on Long Island.
The teams colors are black, silver and green. The logo has not been released yet.
When selecting the Setinels name the UFL is paying homage to the individuals who protect the city including the NYPD, FDNY, the Port Authority and so many other dedicated organizations who bravely watch over New York City.
